I started this business to feed my home decor shopping habit and now it supports our growing team of 8+ members!

Did you know that we've been at the historic mill

Did you know that we've been at the historic mill in downtown Almont for seven years? Did you know that's the longest time we've ever stayed in a place? For Lori, that's crazy 🤪

She started this business when I was 16. She rented a little spot in downtown Lake Orion. Then she got a bigger place. Bounced around a couple different spots in downtown Oxford, then went to Leonard, and then landed in Almont— Our very favorite spot by far.

About a year and a half ago, we bought (what we call) the Grainery in Imlay City. It's actually a grain mill but we already have a mill, so we decided to name it the Grainery, which isn't even a real word. We started out doing seasonal vendor markets, and then monthly ones. But our vision for this place, from the beginning, was for it to be an event space. An extension of our business; not necessarily another store. The monthly markets there just kind of happened and partly because Ms. Lori can't sit still— She likes to start new ventures. But turns out, having two stores is kind of insane for us right now and we've realized we need to get back to the basics...

The Grainery is going to be what we set out for it to be: An event space. Each month we'll have something fun going on there during our monthly markets at the Mill. We already have the next few months lined up and we're so excited to share more details with you. For April, we're finalizing all the details for a dessert and wine tasting🍷🍪 In May, we'll have an embroidery class 🪡 In June, yoga with mimosas 🥂

We have a LOT of fun things in the works for you and we're so excited about our official event space. We want to make sure we're always serving you the best we can and we weren't doing that. We've been spreading ourselves too thin having two stores going. Sometimes we bite off more than we can chew and have to take a step back to realize it.

So THANK YOU, from the bottom of our hearts, for always sticking around with us. Even when we're confusing you, like we probably are right now 😅😵‍💫 Thank you for supporting our family and our small business. We appreciate you and look forward to all the events at this amazing building going forward.

This past Saturday, we hosted Deb Silver of @thesilvershamrocks for a Charcuterie Making Class at our event space, @imlaycitygrainery🍷

She led an amazing workshop and it was so fun to see you all create your own unique masterpiece 🧀 A huge THANK YOU to Deb and all of you that came out for the class— It was a pleasure to have you!

We're looking forward to hosting many more events at our Grainery and will have something new for you each month. We're finalizing details for the next few months but they'll be announced very soon. The look you get when you show up to work matching your mom... And in an Ozzy Osbourne shirt, nonetheless 🙃

We bought these from a man in a 711 parking lot before going to see Ozzy a few years ago 😆 and if you know us in real life, you know we had to bring these tees (swipe to see) into the shop. We've expanded our clothing boutique area upstairs and these are the newest pieces we've added! I, for one, am thrilled that concert tees are in style these days. They've always been a closet staple for me (and Lori) but now at least we're on trend 🤓

You can shop these this weekend! We're open today and Sunday, from 10-4pm. We also have a TON of crewnecks and tees that are H A L F O F F in the clothing boutique! And tons of other merchandise is half off throughout the store, too. It's the perfect rainy day for shopping because what else are ya gonna do?

When it comes to styling at the Mill, no one does it better than Lori 🤷🏻‍♀️

She thoughtfully curates every area of our building. And when I say thoughtfully, I mean it. She spends a lot of time doing this, and thinking about it, and it's her very favorite part of this business. We hope you feel inspired every time you shop at one of our monthly markets, to create a home that is uniquely yours 💜

Come get inspired for S P R I N G, starting tomorrow! We'll be open late from 1-7pm Friday, and from 10-4pm this Saturday & Sunday. We have a ton of new arrivals for the new season PLUS huge markdowns throughout the store to make room for even more new merchandise. Like this table: It's half off 😯
