So…How Long Should My Table Runner Be?

I have to say, this is one of my most frequently asked questions at the market. We always have several styles available at various lengths. Putting a different runner on your table is a super easy and inexpensive way to change up your look. The good news is, whatever YOU like is the answer.

I think this is what most people do with a runner.

Don’t let length stand in your way.

It looks darn cute I think! If you happen to come across a table runner that you love, but the length just won’t work, there ARE other options.

You can center it on your table.

See, that looks pretty cute, too!

I didn’t get a photo, but you can combine options 1 and 2. Say you have a long, solid-colored one, you can easily center a shorter, striped one on top. Or vice versa. Use whatever two coordinating ones you like. This idea works really well seasonally, too.

Or, you can hang it THIS way.

If you have a long table, you can hang 2 or 3 this way. The runners can be shorter, too.

Put what you like on your table. If YOU like it, then that is how long your runner is supposed to be. Like I always say, it’s your house, you live there, you get to pick. There are no decorating police.
