Remember those boxes we posted about a little while ago? I told you the contents were going to be a surprise.
Are you ready to read what’s in them? I sure hope so because we have a whole new line EXCLUSIVELY in our online shop that we are ready to share with you.
What do you think?? Wise Owl Paint! And, lots more…brushes, varnishes, salves…It’s pretty darn exciting.
I chose this particular line for many reasons. First, it is a woman owned Michigan business. I think that’s huge. Plus, these are some really. great. products. Win/Win I’d say.
As I mentioned in my previous blog, I haven’t really been doing much of our painting lately. I think I painted a table last fall. Or was it the fall of 2019?? I can’t remember…anyway, Linda has been our sole furniture painter for a long time now. She has been painting furniture for Chic Antiques since 2011 or so.
Here I am painting a couple years ago. This was probably one of the last times I did…
I used to paint as much furniture as Linda when I had my store in Oxford. I actually started my business in 2000 JUST painting furniture for other stores. I branched out into renting my own spaces in several stores before I opened my own shop in 2008. I remained the only painter until Linda came along to help as we grew.
As the business continues to grow, I just haven’t had the time or energy to paint any more. I have learned to hire more help with other things. As many of you know, my daughter Kara has become our social media guru.
Isn’t she a cutie?? And, she’s good, too!
Hiring Kara has helped me out immensely. I have begun to hire more help in other areas like pricing and marketing, too. I really want to do more of the things that I enjoy and know. Like blogging. And painting. And combining painting with blogging.
Back to being excited. I am super excited to share some new techniques and tips using our new products with you. As I mentioned earlier, we have added many of them to our online shop already. I hope that you take a look and ask questions. I am also hoping to talk Linda into doing some “How To” videos with me.
