Life gets pretty darn exciting, I have to say. ESPECIALLY post quarantine. You know, all that “together time”… Anyway, Howard is in North Carolina at his mom’s house. She needs some minor surgery and a little help around the house. Not much help, mind you. She is…88 years old, and still mowing her lawn. When I’m flying solo – I always dive into home projects!

Tired of Cooking
So why is life so exciting? NO cooking for starters. Again, especially post restaurant shut down. Does anyone else feel like they did little else but cook around the clock for months on end? And, yes, my idea of excitement has changed over the years.
I sent Kyle to the grocery store. This is what he came home with. I hope that I don’t gain 300 pounds before Howard’s return.
Another exciting thing: All of the re-decorating going on. Am I the only one who does this? I don’t think so. I can’t tell you how many times I have had a customer come into the store with a man she introduces as, my brother, neighbor, uncle, anyone BUT her husband. They go on to explain, “My husband is out of town. This guy here is helping me load up the 12 pieces of furniture I just bought.” I’m not sure why that is? I guess it’s because you don’t have to listen to your husband’s opinion aka negative comments. I’ll have some photos for you soon of the re-decorating I’ve been doing.
Garage Clean Out
Lastly, I am trying to clean out the garage. That would be a very pleasant surprise for Howard. I have done this before. It never lasts…sigh…Kyle actually said to me today, “You know some people park cars in their garages”. Who are these people??
It looks like “Dresser Henge” in there. I picked one piece to work on today. I’m not sure what it is, but isn’t it cool? It will be soon…you will have to keep reading my blogs to see the after.
