Behind the Scenes: November Market

It never fails – at every single market we’re asked what we do all month. Despite what you may think, we don’t just work three days a month ๐Ÿ˜‰ Wouldn’t that be nice? Luckily we love what we do but a LOT of hard work goes into every single market. Here’s just a glimpse of what goes on before we open our doors.

This is just one round of truck loads that made their way to the shop.
We never go empty-handed!
This is how it starts, after we finish unloading said truck loads.
Kyle is always thrilled to help me move the furniture around. That’s the face of someone who knows our mom very well. No piece of furniture ever stays in the same spot we move it to. Each piece is moved around at least one more time…
We love vintage furniture around here and boy, is it fun to clean. We go through rags and Awesome like nobody’s business.
…We also go through a lot of band-aids.
Kyle dropped something behind the desk. He’s six years younger than me but about six feet taller. There’s never a dull moment.
Especially when my dad comes along to help. He’s an electrician so he really comes in handy around here. He’s really gotten into his photo being taken, too.
I had to throw this one in. I had Kyle stop while we were leaving the shop for the day. I really do enjoy the drive out to the country; especially in the fall. How can you not?

Not pictured: the pricing that goes on at both my mom’s house and my own. Also: the schlepping of items from our living rooms to our cars – the drive to the mill – then unloading it all into the mill. Repeat that about ten times. Like I said, never a dull moment ๐Ÿ˜‰
